The Westmiller Bros.

The Westmiller Bros. has been a pet project of mine since I was nineteen. It's an idea that I've long struggled to see realized as a full-length hand-drawn animated film. 

The gist of it is this: During the Depression and WWII, two sibling mice named Ernest & Mac---Ernest is the Republican and Mac is the New Deal Democrat---run around the world saving artifacts and hidden treasures from the likes of Germany, Italy, Japan, and the Soviet Union. 

Even better: Elizabeth, Ernest's significant other, is a cat who fled Italy when it was under Mussolini's rule.
